Job Summary: 

Responsible to improve efficiency and increase profit while managing and leading the overall port operations and maintenance activities for the Division/Company. Duties also include managing employees under the division, overseeing division budget, business marketing strategies and new business acquisition. Ensuring the safety and efficiency of the employees and terminal, and at the same time comply with the organizational requirements and company procedures. Provide management support in making profitable long-term and short-term business decisions that meet high-quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • LMT Division

- Accountable for Lumut Terminal (LMT) Division Profit & Loss (P&L).

- Throughput management and commodities mix.

- Management of Terminal & Technical Services productivity enhancement.

- Key Performance measurement of Lumut Terminal.

- Quality people management.

  • Terminal Services Department

- Ensure Terminal Services performance meet the port objectives; vessel/barges turnaround time, berth occupancy rate and customer satisfaction.

- Management of third-party operators/supplier to optimized port efficiency.

- Ensure stockyard management on optimization of utilization rate.

  • Technical Services Department

- Management and control of overall Technical Services Department

- Management and control of preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance; Masterplan and scheduling are effectively executed.

  • Business Development

- Business Development Department – marketing, sales management and customer interface.

- Acquisition of new business and customer intelligence management.

- Existing business/customers’ management and development.

  • Others

- To carry out any other duties, functions and responsibilities as directed/assigned by the Management.

- To support Management in organization key initiatives.

- Adhere to all LMTSB HSSE policies and procedures.


  • Minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Management or equivalent.

  • At least 10 years’ working experience as Manager in port operations or related field.


  • Analytical and meticulous in performing task assigned.

  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to perform multiple tasks independently and efficiently.

  • Possess meticulous, detail-oriented, and inquisitive traits.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • A team player with good communication skills, able to interact with people from all levels.

  • Excellent documentation/written skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
